Frank Morrison
The artist I will be following is Frank Morrison. I am in love with his painting black culture and really involving jazz. The paintings have so much soul, movement and pride it makes me excited to be apart of the black culture.
Frank Morrison was Born in Massachusetts then moved to New Jersey at an early age.He was extremely excited and curious about the world around him. Then, as an energetic pre-teen, he was interested and enthused by the youthful trends, interests and activities which marked his world: the neighborhood D.J's with their followers and fans at neighborhood parties, the colorful ‘tags’ of local characters which were splashed across fences, parks and buildings, and the loose-jointed "B" boys and break-dancers who enlivened week-end party scenes. This inspired his art once he got older and was the start to his successful career as an artist.
The vibrant colors place on a subtle background makes the focus point pop.
